The Indians were informed that by signing the treaty they pledged themselves not to interfere with white men who might come into the country surveying, prospecting, hunting, or in other occupations; that they must respect the laws of the land in every particular, and that their reserves were set apart for them in order that they might have a tract in which they could not be molested, and where no white man would have any claims without the consent of their tribe and of the government

Is the railroad or the mine site part of a reservve? NO

Traditional lands are not part of the reserve but lands that are part of Canada on which FNs have freedom to use the surface to sustain themselves

FNs must be consulted as to if the land in question will cause them to lose the ability to sustain themselves and if so they must be compensated. The same as any person in Canada.

There is no right to stop a project that the majority or Government need to access.

Freedom of speech is a right but civil disobediance is is not.
