Any and all of them IF Noront was one of a few that had it's sp affected, but that is not so. Just about every mining company is having sp problems to one degree or another. The primary cause is the world economy, all the other causes are secondary or
excuses for the major one.
Take out would boost the sp of course and probably only temporarily. I have had one of my companies taken over recently by another ( actually called a merge ) and the resultant one is having the same problem. My only fear on this aspect is that we do get taken out similarly for practically pennies.
A stellar discovery would also be of temporary effect. Just look back on the effect that hole 49 of Eagle's Nest had. Went to 3 bucks and then what? Go further back and 7 bucks, same afterwards.
Management change? Ok I would agree that if Nemis was back at the helm I would expect the sp to take a rise but even he would be ham strung to maintain it. And as for present management, while they may not be the best explorers I suspect are fairly
astute managers and have strong reputations. Perhaps too much so for my liking.
I am pleased with the way they are dealing with the natives, so they are skillfull managers on that front.
After the economy, the next hinderance to Noront sp is lack of basic infrastructure and the Ontario government is to blame for that. They dragging their feet is costing us investors, the province and the rest of the country, big time.
Natives and environmentalists are the next obstacles and it is hard for me to guess as to which one will have more effect.
However we did see first hand the results of the native blockade a while back. Assurances that there would not be a repeat would help a great deal.
All of the above aspects are causing stress to our sp but I do not allow these nagatives to affect my stay with this company.
This company has one great discovery, at least two other good resources, and a huge land hold which provides potential for many more discoveries in the future. These physical aspects can not be erased and if they are not correctly valued today it is
inescapable that they will be so tomorrow. The only question is how far away is that tomorrow.
Those are my views of this company and am patiently invested for that future. Many thanks to All here for your informative fellowship. Ed.
