Sum, good advice!

I appreciate posters pointing out new, hard-to-find, hot-off-the press links on the BBs so that other posters can benefit. However, most of us here read widely and does not really need a third or fourth articles talking about the same thing, especially those that just show negative (or positive) headlines that may mislead casual (headline) readers about potential impacts to a specific company. In this case, the headline may imply that NOT is "in trouble" with the FNs. It would be a service to other readers if a poster would include a short preample or discussion about potential impact. Not just a link alone... and walk away.

Perhaps, such poster is a "person with few words". But by publishing the link only without checking if similar links have been posted would clog up the board. Also, as a reflex readers would tend to click on the link, only to find they are the same thing that have been published elsewhere (e.g. in the Globe and Mail). For, this situation the poster could also the G&M link along with a new link (e.g. from a local newspaper), with a note saying that "this is a similar article, and it's now just picked up by the local news source" to show that the news has travelled wide and far.

As I understand it, NOT has an excellent relationship with the FN communities, and the 4 chiefs have indicated positive reaction to the E-W road proposal which is considered as something that the northern communities are sorely needed. An all-season road is certainly much better than the current air link and the FNs wanted some active participation.
