The way of life for the natives has to and will change whether they want to or not. It means that they have to give up some or most of their hunting and fishing and start to work ordinary labour type jobs of the southerners. Yes 9 to 5.

As a trade for their loss of ancestral rights they will get jobs, roads and communications. With those their costs for much of the products from the south goes down. Access to better health and education would also improve.

The problem is that many want the latter but not give up the former. They can not have it both ways. They need to learn to adjust.
