You guys all miss the important point.
There was an original general survey over the area that was done prior to any serious exploration. This one showed eagle 1 as a potential zinc/copper anomaly, and was drilled in 2007 with that potential in mind.
Since then, there has been at least three geophysical surveys done over varying parts of the ring of fire, and the targets have been drilled with limited success.
This recent (analysis?) yielded 3 targets at depth (and depth is a significant factor here), which were drilled, and 2 out of 3 hit nickel.
The above statement is important in two dimensions;
The first step is that all previous geophysicals were errant, and as such should be thrown in the garbage. If the powers that be can actually do the first step, and start with a fresh outlook, which I think they may be doing, and consider only the information contained in this recent survey, they just may be onto the greatest find ever.
