Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is concerned that the potential economic impact of the Ring of Fire mining development in Northern Ontario could be in jeopardy because of, “bungling and inaction within the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.”

Getting back to the issue of this thread, it was refreshing to hear Vic fedeli interviewed on CBC's Morning North on Friday AM and to hear the initiatives that he is undertaking on behalf of his constituents in Nipissing.

Perhaps there is a lot going on behind the scenes but I agree that people like Bartellucci nd Kazinski could be doing more to advance this project.

Sudbury is in the running to house the Cliffs smelter but it is not evident that Bartellucci or any of the local poleticians are doing enough to ensure that it happens. IMHO it is inexcusable that none of these politicians including the mayor of Sudbury nor the councel have visited the ROF. Living in Sudbury we hear very little about the efforts being made to move this project (ROF) or the Cliffs smelter forward.

Fedeli summarized many of the benefits of his trips to the ROF that will likely turn into economic benefit to the nippising riding. It is hard to argue with his logic, even if he is playing politics with it.
