An oil rig is not a mine and if you did drill under the border of someone else's property you would be in a position to be litigated against. Oil and mineral rights must be acquired under the land for which they are requested. In the case of the FN's, if you mess up there land, in the case of a mine, for what is underneath, then you have to pay for that privilege for obvious reasons. People mostly argue to hold onto what they wish to believe instead of the quest for knowledge. It's amazing how difficult it is for people to learn to work together instead of trying to "undermine" each other. Life could be so blissfully simple.....but then there are those whose job it is to make this not so.
