Message: cliffs Preliminary Capital Estimates for Chromte Project

Freinds and Foe,

This news from Cliff's should stir up some discussion. In my opinion it is another declaration of their commitment to open the mine. Perhaps a tweak at the provincial government on their part....a call of the poker hand. It is a sizeable investment in Ontario and it's future but allot will be decided on if McGuinty can get this right.

Last few days of parliament in December had a few highlights to consider in regards to the Ring of Fire and what we might hear about when they convene again in February. Of note, the grilling of the premier by Howarth during the Open question period. Also, Norm Miller asked Bertolucci to hand over any and all study materials from the Ring of Fire that his predecesor (Gravelle) had been in charge of up until the elections. If you are interested you can watch the daily question periods for the last few days before the winter recess. To me, it is clear that the Provincial Government has been stumbling of late on this issue. Let's see if this pronouncement by Cliffs can stir some action.

There is overiding sentiment from all interested parties at work in this drama to get some action from McGuinty at this time, including his opposition in parliament.
