There is no talk of building roads up north or other infrastructure because.....

Baosteel over the past many months has been dealing back and forth with Ontario and the Feds to take care of the initial infrastructure in conjunction with other companies and a kick in from gov't for other considerations. Gov't will facilitate movement without laying out huge bucks and offer other goodies in return. Thus, NOT's sp slowly climbs in spite of no news on doing much in the north from the gov't....at the moment.

Any number of possibilities are there to explain what may be happening behind closed doors. Point is to remember what this is all about......big chunks of minerals that the world needs on large scale particularly China and a couple billion isn't going to make them break out in a sweat given the potential returns. Who would wait to sew up some very important resources for the sake of a few hundred Km of road/rail when that could be handled any number of ways financially with or without gov't....some discussed here of late.
