Message: Miner plans on shipping chromite to Asia

Friends,

It is not out of the realm of possibility that the recent discussions that the premier had in Hong Kong earlier this year involved this chromite resource and then the subsequent buy-in of the Chinese firm Baosteel/conglomerate (with mega resource interests around the world) as the intial avenue for this chromite resource all along. There is something to this story and would suspect that CLF is motivated by profit to process the ore cheaply by direct shipment, as is Noront. But could it be that CLF is following NOT's lead?.... (bulk shipping is described in the EA) this would also be true if they had a "wink" and a handshake from the premier that a certain small percentage of unprocessed material would be allowed to leave Ontario. The Chinese and Dalton agreed to something and this is my best guess. As much as the Chinese are salivating over the resources in the ROF they wouldn't be making an investment without specific assurances for raw material. This is how they operate and has been described in more than a few posts to this board.

A picture perfect scenario of an eco-friendly mine, with the FN's full cooperation, with all ore processed in Ontario and to soley benefit the local industry and economies...may not be what ultimately comes to fruition. But a combination of sorts with export and in-house processing to be the likely outcome, that is something we can hypothesize.

On a different topic, I find the whole subject of PGE extraction from Chromite to be quite interesting. PGE's being 10 times more likely in the layered intrusions such as what we have at McFaulds. There are several profitable companies in South Africa that process just the tailings at a few of the Bushveld chromite occurences just to extract the PGE's, which by the way is a layered intrusion complex.........much like that at McFaulds.

Isn't this something we can discuss. How do we measure the added value of PGE in this 100 year supply of chromite???

A few links below for your general perusal of the subject:

Do you think Dalton knows about the content of PGE in Chromite? Does CLF know what they potentially have that could help them offset a bit of mining costs? Do you think the Chinese know there is extra value in this ore????...........Yes they do.

Just me and my shares.........salivating.
