"EA and Native issues have the potential to hold mining activities hostage for years...see Voisey's Bay as an example of Native delaying mining activities."

Different place, different time, people are a lot hungrier, the world is in major financial crises...I wonder if these will factor in for a different equation.

"Therefore buying out NOT before electricity rates are established makes it harder for them to calculate costs and profits. "

Funny, CLF (and Baosteel) must be foolish then for jumping in without checking this out in spite of the alleged forcing of their hand by NOT. These are experienced market people and buying something because someone else might get it without knowing the details is foolish and certainly not a professional move.

Quite frankly I think they are pretty sure that hydro will not be a problem and neither will be the FN. People will be giving what they have away in times ahead just to eat when the full measure of the financial mess is realized.

"but I believe we will see prices under 70 cents again with time to accumulate."

I'll bet your'e hoping so. :)

Good points G. Sorry for the jabs I'm just having fun.
