Thank you for your participation and contributions within the AGORACOM Community and the wonderful thoughts you breathe in to these daily threads each day.

Success is typically shared, so we would like to send you a heart felt thank you, as in July we announced that we have surpassed 500,000 visitors (read more).

It's been brought to our attention that a particular thread regarding the upcoming Provincial Election in Ontario keeps getting removed. Now this would typically be considered an off-topic thread, HOWEVER, digging deeper in to the threads and the subject matter discussed, YOU AS A COMMUNITY have set a precedent that this topic is allowed to remain on the discussion forum. A quick glance at several busy threads provides enough evidence that a political discussion has become part of the normal discourse these days.

Now we wish to forwarn everyone on the HUB, that while it is OK to discuss the election on the forum, what is not permitted is to show partisanship when choosing which messages to report as a violation, and which ones to allow.

Much like the elections themselves, you the people, are presented with four choices and you the people will decide which choice is the best for you and your investment. If a message of "the other party" appears, please accept that as a valid opinion and do not reduce yourselves to the petty action of deleting a post or a thread on the premise of political stripe.

Of course our standard six rules of use apply to these threads, and if you chose to participate in a thread on this topic, please be mindful of these rules, common "netiquette" and of course of others approach to the North and the Ring of Fire.

At the end of the day, using the recommendation system, you can illustrate to those around you which opinion you as a community feel is best for the North and the Ring of Fire, and which opinion is complementary.
