Message: Lack of announcements????

I was vacationing and got to my destination ok, but:

Do some of you in north America think that European drivers are safer?

I did think so but to a lesser degree than a few days ago. This saturday I drove a few highways between Frankfurt and Dresden. It was drizzling to raining much of the time. While I drove mostly 100 to 120 km/hour with a few occasions of 60 to 80, many passed me at speeds up to 200Km/h.

Yes I did see quite a few cars that slid right off the road surface. I think that it was mostly due to hydroplaning when they hit water puddles on the road. Speed being the other contributing cause. One car was on it's roof with occupants taken away by ambulances. Seems these drivers do not slow down much for road conditions.

Back on subject:

I think our management is licking it's wounds after recent drill results and would rather play it safe through these economic times until they see some better conditions OR they have made up their minds from the lack of spectacular results of late. After all Eagle's Nest is more than satisfactory once the infrastructure announcements are made. The sp should be respectful by then and it would be more appropriate to seek financing for mine construction.

Until then; Yes they are probably sitting pretty with sufficient cash awaiting announcements.

How many still have the patience to wait after so many years of same.
