Infrastructure plan to include Ring of Fire
Saying the north is different, Ontario's infrastructure minister says our region will be taken into account in his 10 year plan. Bob Chiarelli tells municipal delegates in Thunder Bay that it must include the Ring of Fire mining development. He says that will include building roads, the electricity grid and communication links. His infrastructure plan for the province will be released next month.==============================================================

so I wrote it out below. Bob Chiarelli's words "Ontario Values its collaboration with its partners" brought back the article ...Harper will want to Paint the Ring of Fire Tory Blue. My gut is telling me that initially the majority of the initiatives were Provincial and then suddenly the Federal gov't woke up and said .."I wouldn't mind spending some money and taking some of the credit for this." Then came the delay for more negotiations in who pays for what and who will take the credit for what. That's my opinion. Bob's response to me is below.
Thank you for your email regarding the 10 Year Infrastructure Plan and for your kind words. I am pleased to respond.
The new infrastructure plan will set out a vision for future of capital investment in the province for over the next 10 years. It will identify long term priorities and help lay the foundation for an economically stronger and more competitive Ontario. Our ministry will be releasing the plan later this year.
Ontario values its collaboration with its partners in addressing the provinces infrastructure challenges. Working together, we will continue building a lasting infrastructure legacy of which all Ontarians will be proud.
