No one seems to place any importance on the recent news from FNC. They should.
Location of these two drill holes, and the direction and dip of each of then tell an interesting story when looked at from NOT's side of the property line.
They have an impressive chrome orebody that is less than 300m from the property line at a depth of 7-800m. This puts it at less than 700m from Eagle1, and it is approaching the property line as it nears the surface.
From NOT's perspective, they get to watch as FNC continues to drill, and it tells them pretty much exactly what they will find at AT1, if and when they decide to exploit it.
If and when they do sink a shaft for Eagle1 it will be situated away from the ore body, probably by several hundred meters, to allow proper mining and extraction facilities. It becomes that much more economical if they simply have to go an equal distance in the other direction and begin extracting chrome, with very little additional development costs.
At any rate, for the interim, it is interesting to see FNC continue to drill off the chrome, knowing there is no way FNC could possibly mine it on a stand alone basis, knowing whatever is at C-1 will likely be also there at AT1. NOT gets a (proven?) orebody pretty much for free, and can use all available funds to continue their search for nickel.
Another interesting aside, is that Peter intends to restart the drills on June 2. That is an interesting date, to say the least.
Best regards
