Hi Joe, Thank you for your post. You write: "I met with some financial guys in New York in March and they were pretty blase about the future of Noront, repeating frequently that there would be little investment in this stock until some more spectacular results were forthcoming.....
I asked what it would take to move the SP back to what most of us consider a reasonable value , i.e. $10+. Without hesitation they all agreed that the key is with the Ontario Government. Given the location and the infrastructure issues it requires a sizeable financial commitment that has to be either guaranteed by Government or directly funded by them. However I now believe that this will be much longer long term hold before we see any meaningful increase in the SP." =====================================================
Joe, unless the guys in New York read the posts on Agoracom ...the one's that have some news clips, or follow Canadian poliltics very closely they are in the dark.
There is Wall Street, Bay Street and ....there is North Street.
Wall Steet and Bay Street have the money. North street does not.
But, North Street gets daily info. If you live around North Street which is an area covering Thunder Bay, Sudbury, Timmins, Sault Ste Marie etc. And you watch local TV or read the Local News paper or listen to the local Radio...you have a different perspective of this investment. Because I do more homework than most, ...I have a different perspective than your New York friends or you.
I don't listen to opinion, I look at facts. The MM's are not going to promote when they are buying and vice versa when they are selling. I realize that I have to look carefully at who is saying what.
Federally and provincially I have read over and over and over and over again that the focus is job creation. The focus is Infrastructure. I keep reading FROM GOV't that the ROF is a top priority. Until I see SOMETHING else replacing this Priority...I will think differently.Povincial elections are Oct.6. There is NOT a lot of time to shake the ground.
Here's is a sample fact I posted. The minister of Infrastructure is publicly saying "this month for ROF infrastructure news." I have his phone# from his website. If I don't see news this month OR if there is nothing publicly stated by him with reasons for a delay...I will call him and ask him what's up. I am not shy.
Please see below the link to my previous post. So the Ring of Fire infrastructure as per Ontario`s minister of Infrastructure, Bob Chiarelli, will include building roads, the electricity grid and communication links.:(I`d love to give Bob a hug right about now) His infrastructure plan for the province will be released next month. (This is fantastic news.) http://thegiantnews.blogspot.com/2011/04/infrastructure-plan-to-include-ring-of.htmlInfrastructure Plan to include RING OF FIRE

Infrastructure plan to include Ring of Fire
Saying the north is different, Ontario's infrastructure minister says our region will be taken into account in his 10 year plan. Bob Chiarelli tells municipal delegates in Thunder Bay that must include the Ring of Fire mining development. He says that will including building roads, the electricity grid and communication links. His infrastructure plan for the province will be released next month.
