Chinese statecomp. Minmetals has offered to take over Aus./Canadian miningcomp.Equinox minerals.

Minmetals offers 6.5 bilj. dollar in cash.The offer is conditional(Equinox has to stop their takeover attemt for Lundin).

Equinox owns one of the biggest coppermines in the world in Zambia.

Chinese comps.spent last year around 30 biljon usd on rawmaterials related takeovers.
