The province will release its Northern Growth Plan March 4.
The growth plan, an initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry, is meant to be a blueprint for economic growth in the north over the next 25 years.
Work on the plan began more than four years ago. Mayors of the five biggest cities in northern Ontario
criticized delays in the launch of the growth plan at a Feb. 7 press conference.
The plan will be released at announcements in both Sudbury and Thunder Bay. Minister of Infrastructure Bob Chiarelli will attend the Sudbury announcement, which will be held at Cambrian College's eDome.
Minister of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry Michael Gravelle will be at the Thunder Bay announcement, which will be held at the city's Contact North location.
