As far as rights go, your dad didn't have to accept their proposal... my family didn't and as a result, they built the transmission lines around our property. Also, what gave us the right to perscribe what is FN land and what belongs to the crown? I partially agree with you, but if it is your land, you should have the rights over what happens to it. An interesting case is in the Sault, where the wind farm went up. The land owner is recieving payments (effectively as a lease) for the use of his property.
