I receive a monthly publication called First Nations Voice. It is a privately owned First Nation newspaper headquartered at the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, about 60kms north of Winnipeg. It has a distribution of 95,000 copies. The January edition has a picture of a Ring of Fire construction camp on the front page and an article inside which among other things mentions the tremendous number of permanent jobs that would be available if the area is developed. Noront is not mentioned. I spoke with Alan Isfeld who is the owner/publisher of the paper and he said that he is well informed on the Ring of Fire and Noront Resources also. He said that he has met representatives from Noront in the past and is meeting soon with Paul Semple in Vancouver. So, there may be more on Noront in coming editions. Here is a link to the on-line version of the newspaper. To read the article, click on the picture of the camp.
