It is my opinion that momentum is collecting to say nothing of the players who are collecting/accumulating. Note the major increase in NOT volume over the last several days of trading. Note the rise from the .88 or so bottom. As the buying momentum increases the sp will rise and I believe that news from more than one front will facilitate the move up that many are expecting, dare I say..... know is coming. The volume clearly indicates that there is confidence in a NOT move fairly soon otherwise they would not be buying at this time. There is also clearly some time left as the sp is still fairly easily cowed. This may well change very shortly. I would stress to SH's that they consider exit points. A world renowned investment guru stresses timing and moving to protect your capital first and make money second. Thus, note the lulls in momentum and don't let your profits drizzle through your fingers yet again.

NOT is in an upward trend presently. I feel that most are aboard for the next leg up. PPs done for now, options out. Just remember that nothing goes straight up and that the pro's sell into strength. Watch for the run and take advantage of it.

Short story:

I held a couple of REE stocks and yesterday, owing to the Chinese position of cutting exports of REEs, there was some nice movements of these stocks anywhere from 15 to 40%. I was fortunate to be there for the ride. I pulled out at a 35% gain determining that the news, though very important, was not immediately impactful or material to the companies bottom line and would likely result in a pullback. Early today these stocks shot up even more from overexuberance and those not wanting to miss out, however they finished relatively flat for the day with reduced volume. As the volume falls more and the affect of the news wears off, what do you suspect will happen to the sp's? How many will start to see the sp fall and proceed to profit take while participating in affecting the downturn of the sp? The answer to these questions isn't a certainty one way or another, but history shows it very likely to follow all too familiar a pattern which we can capitalize on. In the meantime I've locked away a 35% gain and followed my discipline. I suspected that the sp could continue to climb but having all too often ridden the gain back down, I've set some rules about taking profits and recognizing recurring patterns in the market. The above is simply one of my responses to a perceived market condition and my position in it. If you don't have a set of plans for your place in the market then you are sailing without a rudder.....and there's lots of reefs waiting.

Lastly....have you thought about the next big market correction and what you are going to do about it? It is not my intention to scare anyone, just to spark some thinking. I will be holding onto my NOT as long as I can. I'd like to think that NOT will have a nice move before the market does anything serious. I have waited through some of the more recent market dives and not been happy about it owing to the loss of opportunity. I heard the warnings and chose not to listen. I don't plan on being exposed this coming time around. It's no way to protect your capital. If you have no thoughts on this issue, you might think about developing some.....it's your money.
