This is the second time this week someone has quoted a Coppola film without delivering the punchline. Plus there is a commercial that forgets the second part. If you use,

"I love the smell of gun oil in the morning..."

You've got to finish it with the punch,

"...it smells like victory." or "it smells like a turkey-day," or "it smells like divorce," or "it smells like the ring has fired."

Without the punch, it's like saying, "I'd never want to belong to a club..." without adding, "who wants me as a member."
