Did you not hear our "leader" at the AGM "WE ARE NOT INTO CHROMITE!!!" ..."COPPER AND NICKLE IS OUR FUTURE".... We gave two (2) chromite deposits away to Probe. In the blurb you found on the Aboriginal Mining Confrence there is little mention of other metals but chromite is prominant.
In all probability our chromite deposite will end up another "bargaining chip" for either a "joint venture with Probe or Cliifs enabling Noront to ride on the their coat tails regarding the upcoming infrastructure.
If you think that the $8 billion will buy out Cliffs ..think again! ,that $ 8million is still in the ground not mined and there will be costs to be accounted for. Cliffs used to be "the enemy " but as they say" money make strange bed fellows"
As for the "ice-roads" another poster mentioned them alomost 2 years ago (herbertwiebe)It was a good idea then, and still is...his idea was to blast the beejesus out of the nickel and stock pile it in the spring and summer and ship it out in the winter on the ice-roads therefore giving Noront their own capital to find and drill the next season...but no ...we offer flow-thoughs to make capital so we can continue next year.
