If you are short or sleeping on a stock, then there's plenty of reason to complain and attack. Active longs have reason to be pleased.

When you are an active long, you buy a stock. Get burned as SP plummets. Sell somewhere along the line before it hits rock bottom. Now you've got a wash for your profits decreasing capital gains tax, plus you can buy back when it hits rock bottom and gain shares or keep xtra cash.

In U.S. we need to stay out for a month to take advantage of loss benefits, so for that month you buy into neighbor who will benefit should the stock that plummeted release good news. In Mcfaulds Lake, you play between FNC and NOT. Although now I'm curious if Noront is linked to an Asian company and if one can invest in them.

Of course now one is in a pickle, does one buy NOT at rock bottom or FNC because they begin drilling this weekend. But I don't think NOT will stay down at 1.12 too long so the safe bet is NOT because they've got material and a greater indicators of what they are chasing. On the other hand FNC could explode as well. Sticking to discipline one buys back into NOT, being happy with one's longs that should already be in FNC which you've reacquired when it was at it's rock bottom with hope that soon their moment will come.
If I bought 100thou shares of Noront at $4.50. Sold at $2.00, bought back in at 1.10, I now hold 181 thou shares. Now the ultimate dollar value is less then the original 100thou shares at $3.50, however if you are long and are expecting an SP explosion next year from a bid war or Wes exploring the potential ultramafic conduit to the feeder system then I'm in a much petter position then I was before the fall. Plus I've decreased capital gains tax. Fantastic.

So, this is the reason why the active longs are happy when Noront hits rock bottom. It's a chance to turn a bad event into a profitable event.

Thanks for indulging in my ramble post. Hope some of you made those phone calls today. There's a lot of intel we can gather collectively, if you did.
