Premier names Ring of Fire co-ordinator

Premier Dalton McGuinty has named Dr. Christine Kaszyck as the Ring of Fire co-ordinator.

The premier made the announcement officially in Thunder Bay Thursday afternoon while speaking at the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association’s regional meeting at the Travelodge Hotel Airlane.

The province says the Ring of Fire region could become North America’s exclusive supplier of chromite, which is used in the production of stainless steel and other goods.
