You bet Cylinder, short term there is no need, rapidly approaching is the need and there will soon be enough business to warrant the extra's. I agree the Extension of the tarmac a must and Nav aids are priority especially for those flying IFR.

I have been in and out of Tuk and its 5000' (gravel at the time) runway on 737's numerous times , wild ride indeed looking at the Beaufort both landing and taking off, no margin for error.
