"IF there was an offer coming down, the scavengers would have picked up on it by now, just as they did with FWR and SPQ. They would know, as we do, that an offer would have a premium attached, and would logically be buying up any shares they could. Look at SPQ, where they bought up tens of millions of shares just for a half cent gain."
How true. The situation is very, very different with Noront. Sure Noront's in the ROF, and sure they have some chromium. But otherwise, if there's a takeover in the works, it will have to be very different scenerio.
We're talking about apples and oranges here when we talk Noront vs. FWR/KWG/SPQ. Noront is sitting on a large Ni deposit plus vanadium, plus gold, plus... you name it. Moreover, the management is qualitatively different with institutional strength in the background.
Now at this time shareholders may question the value sets of Wes and his BOD, and of Rosseau Mgmt and Irwin; but the corporate landscape here is different. I'm going to assume that they all want to make good money on their Noront shares, options, warrants, etc. And therefore, their potential fight for that money will certainly be different than that put up by sad little SPQ, for example.
I think the upcoming NOT AGM may be a "tipping point". Intelligent and hardworking investors must go to that meeting and question everything they hear. What about this? Why this? When that? Pull no punches.
