Good morning BJay: Fascinating, How? La Beautful Mule, and raw aching muscle did it.

A side thouight on your question on how did they move the materiel. How would you move 3000 ft of 1" hoisting cable by mule? Anyone?

The Republica mine near Tayopa had a permanent count of 1500 mules, 500 at rest, 500 going , and 500 returning.
