Waiting for FNC to prove that they have the goods would be a fatal error, since if the motherload truly is under their property, then their SP will sky rocket upon release of such news.

At any rate, I have a feeling that if the motherload or elephant body is located under FNC, then it is probably very deep. Judging from the pictures Noront released, the ore body appears to be diving still as it reaches the FNC border. This body is already at a depth of about 2km at that point.

Just some trivia here, but the deepest mine in Canada to date is only about 7800 feet, or 2.6km, located at Sudbury. World's deepest is 3.9km in South Africa. World's deepest open pit is 1200m, in the US.
