The reason Noront wants to drill so deep is because the models suggest that the convergance zone is where the best grades of platinum and other minerals could be. Along with possibly the body of the elephant and directions about the geology folding and moving. Information is also wealth. Platinum ore of regular grade is 2600 kg/cu.m. nickel is 1600 kg/.cu.m
