I am surprised that NOT made a release, they certainly didn't have to make available the drilling results. They have been drilling for two months, maybe a little longer. I think they felt they had to make investors aware that there were problems with the drilling and threw in the infill results just to show the orebody is still there or as a compensating factor. As for duds, they are just as important when you are defining an orebody. They show you where your footwall is and prove that the orebody ends somewhere.

I have no experience in diamond drilling but I have seen them working and seen the conditions they work in. After seeing them work, I am amazed that they can extract core from 2200m down from surface. As others have stated before, this is very time consuming work. There is no vaccuum sucking up the core as it is drilled, they have to take up the drill string once it hits the weight restrictions, than connect it all together again and start over. It must be brutally slow. Also, no matter how skilled the driller is or how high tech and current the drill is, ground conditions can be formidable. Bad ground at a kilometer and below must be particularly hellish. Twisting off a drill stem or ruining a bit would cause a sizeable delay and it could be no fault of the driller or company. Any equipment failure would mean flying in parts etc. They have normal consummables on site but anything else means big delay.

This press release is merely telling us all that there are delays and drilling problems. Edgy says the orebody is worth $650 per tonne. In gold deposit terms, this is the same as having assays at 17g/t at todays price of gold. If the deposit is 11 million tonnes than we have the equivalent of 6 million ounces of gold. Conspiracize that.
