Price pressure is not only for accumulation purposes but also for possible buy-out.
For accumulation they do not need to aquire all just enough to make it worth while to persue the tactic. Once they accumulate a sufficuent amount the same low price serves their purpose to make an offer that is percentage wise much higher than it otherwise would be and more people would tender their shares to them.
By the way I am not a big investor, actually probably one of the smallest. You may be getting that impression because I encourage bigger investors to follow my example of tactics to gather some profits from the shinanigans taking place instead of moping about the low share price.
