Though one can never tell for certain, you'll have a pretty good idea as to whether to hold at $2 or to sell some based on the nature of the news. If the news is good, it won't likely take off and leave you behind, if the news is staggering with equivalent sex appeal of hole five from 2007 then you might want to sell with care. But then if they come out with good news one day and staggering on another and you've sold for $2.... well, then you should have sold some but not all. Well you've guessed it now... if this game were easy we'd all be rich. :)
