Message: A thought for today...

"Somewhere I read something along the line, "that my biases are mine, I own them, have a God given right to them, and God help anyone who tries to take them away from me.""

This is totally true, but not always a healthy perspective. Biases are ok when recognized and when one is open to changing them when a better bias comes along. Everyone is biased as seldom are there any individuals in total possession of the facts or total truth. The word bias is a very large word though and also encompasses things like .... perhaps choosing a gardening show as opposed to a hockey game. A bias could be a one-sided tendency but we often use it to describe a leaning, disposition or inclination towards something. A slippery slope? I always try to wear the proper footwear for a given condition.
