Naked short selling is a crime against every investor who support a company and management in their quest to be successful. We support them by buying their shares with our hard earned money. Why should shorters and especially naked shorters who have contributed nothing be allowed to depress the share price. They are allowed to sell something they dont own or have borrowed. If you believe that is not a crime, then I have a few bridges and an island or two to sell.
The big boys make the rules (the big banks) and it's interesting a few months before the colapse of the markets they got the uptick rule removed. I thought something was afoot then but didn't act. We know what they think of shorting when it was used to attack their shares they got themselves excempted. Again they make the rules.
I'm afraid that the thievery taking place through manipulation and shorting are destroying the capital markets to the point that small companies will not get funded.
