Khareema, I deleted it because I was trying to make it easier to read, but failed. Plus I always find errors and typos. I need to preview more first.

What you say about this being a different scenario makes sense. Let me think about it.

My initial response is:

Certainly going head to head with Cliffs wouldn't make sense. But I think that this will be unavoidable. And when I talked to Wes, he seemed to want to lure the Major out in the open and speed things up. Therefore, the whole motivation of consolidating the jrs hasn't changed, only it's been given a greater urgency due to Cliffs. which was Wes' original challenge: are there any majors interested in us up here in the ROF, besides Xsrata who was in the initial divying up. More urgency...

...more urgency to discover more ore to get a second major who can compete with Cliffs before they attempt more jr take-overs and we retail get a percentage increase instead of many multiples.

But there something else nagging me, but it's not formulated yet.

and I think we should discuss ways Noront can protect itself from a hostile takover...which I know keeps Wes up at nights.

Because, as I pointed out, why would Cliffs wait until FNC or Noront finds another deposit? I also think the key to figuring out what's nagging me is to get a greater understand the underlying geology. I think my picture is flawed.

Got to go work out...dig deep with Insanity
