Some interesting points but:

Why the burst up to 1.52?

Why the wait before the trounce which generally doesn't happen to NOT? Usually the attack is quite quick.

Why the typical houses attacking the sp as they've been doing for weeks now? Why the ardent attack when at the very least the report provides a demonstration of potential growth?

Perhaps, not only does someone have knowledge, but knowledge of and interest in a pending take over.... speculation of course but it was also spec. for KWG and SPQ.... but not any longer.
