Another perspective is that they are happy to get out of this. It's risky but if they have hit something special and they think the market will appreciate it, they might be able to raise more $$ with less dilution.

Always better to have a bird in the hand, but there may be a silver lining on this cloud for FNC holders, of which I am presently...not one of them.
