Good work, Scarff. The following paragraph truly boggled my mind! Kind of hard to believe. Maybe someone from the IIROC is even reading the posts on this board. Boy that takes a stretch of the imagination. I bolded and underlined the dark black words in the following paragraph. If it is true ( and how can one find out - Ombudsman maybe?) think of what the taxpayer - that's you and me - is paying for the service. Perhaps one could ask how many officers are doing the monitoring? Of course they have to be using modern tecnology, they can't eyeball each and every trade. What am I missing here? Am I being to literal?
"During trading hours, IIROC surveillance officers monitor every single equities trade on the Canadian equity markets as it occurs, including the TSX, TSX V, CNQ, Bloomberg and Market Securities Inc., to identify violations such as insider trading, manipulative activity, frontrunning, and other infractions. "
Again, many thanks for taking the initiative.
All the best,
Gleegee.
