My parents are from Holland and were there during the war. Canadians hold a special place in the hearts of all Dutch. I have heard many stories from them of how happy they were when the Canadian soldiers came to liberate the Netherlands.

So impressed were they that they came to Canada in 1954 to start a new life. I am eternally grateful to live in this country that is admired world wide.
