Larry has a good point regarding the drill stem diameter and core size... One other consideration regarding core size...

Who are we going to get to lift the racks of core if we started pulling 3 inch plus sized core out of the ground??? I hear the massive sulfides cores are heavy enough for a "strong man" to throw around and stack however many feet high...

As long as the drill stem can handle the stresses of 2200 meters of length PLUS driving the bit into our massive sulfides 2.2 km's away... (at least I'm praying for some massives down there ;-}

So, that being said... I don't know if that same drill stem that Larry quoted can handle the additional tourque over that length, or maybe they get thicker walled/smaller drill core once they get deeper in the hole.....

Oh well, I am sure someone reading this forum has a pretty good idea as to how that works, and for sure will grace us with his/her knowledge :-}
