What you did not hear: Dollars allocated specifically to ROF not surprising...we have to prove up enough to interest the bankers first....and they will suply the money..for a return on investment but only when that return is practically guarenteed..

What we did hear: The government is very AWARE of the ROF POTENTIAL and they have let us know that they will try to help us navigate the pitfalls and objections provided by -their own government, environmentalist, and those special interest groups that could potentially throw a stick in the spokes.. I think that was reasonably loud and clear. they gave a small bone to Northern Ontario with a small rebate on electricity..we are still far away from needing anything else right at the moment and barring a specific request from industry they wont commit that far away.

In my opinion it was vague enough to cover BUTTS and positive enough to invite specific proposals to the table. There is money available the first one to make a reasonable request showing a clear benefit will get it. They subtly removed any questions about backing and left it up to industry to proceed ..in very much still a risky prospective area..

I dont think they could be more specific then that without raising the roof and openning themselves up to funding request from every area of the province.

My opinion only
