Yes, indeed it is always a joy to read your informative posts.

I chuckle when you mentioned RIMM. I told everyone I knew to buy Rimm, but I had little money to buy it, so did not prosper from it. It'still a great company.

My best " missed that one" story was about 6 years ago in NYC at Smith Barney offices. Almost everyday on my way home, I stopped in to check the closing prices of my stocks. A worker from the next door Chinese restaurant would always dash into the Brokerage in his white, scraggly uniform. Because the receptionist didn't want to be bothered to give him quotes, I kindly offered to do so everyday. He had 3 or 4 stock symbols scribbled down on a napkin.

Well, I was delighted to see one of his choices was BIDU, a teeny, totally unknown Chinese tech company, which I had personally followed a bit, but had not purchased because I bought early into Google. I told him to hold on to it because it was excellent. He watched for me, and would run in and ask me to get him a quote. I recall that Bidu was selling around $5. at the time. When I moved from NYC, the last day I saw him, wearing his charming toothless grin, he thanked me profusely for helping him. I asked the receptionist to please give him a quote every now and then.

I'm sure he's not working at the Chinese restaurant now. Bidu is smaller, but I feel the "Google of China" today. The stock went from $5...to a recent price of...hold on now..of over $600. a share! He probably owns several chinese restaurants now! I wish I had been so smart. Someday, when I make a profit from NOT, I'll look into Bidu again.

Keep hoping....

Jacki
