"NDP Leader Andrea Horwath says it's about time the government came up with some sort of plan for the north, but adds this attempt will likely be seen by northerners as a last-ditch attempt by Liberals to show they care about communities they have ignored for years"
Well she would say this coming from the cheap seats. Normally I would agree accept the actual slant on this is probably that the Province sees a chance at the real deal here and knows they need to negotiate with the FN to get this baby going. If their approach was to ignore the north and leave them in shambles, what would be the reason to change now?..... small population, isolated, little clout? What would be the point... except that now there is a real chance to grow an industry in desparate times and it's better to have all on board to get it done.
