Institutions, or be it individuals, generally do not sell short if they can help it but as an example I have often sold stocks that have not reached their maximim price ( and not bought at optimum low ) due to uncertainty as to where it may be but also due to already having great profits I saw profit potential elsewhere and took the smaller but quicker profits to place elsewhere thus gambling for a double Wham.

Should the markets heat up ( metals prospects look good now), do not count too much on everyone to stay the course.
