I've been actively accumulating over the past three weeks while the price has been down. Still averaging down.
The reality is that we are still very early in this play and there will yet be more ups and downs. For me it was a good time to buy. We knew that the resource estimate was going to be a 3-4X increase and that the grades were holding. Even if we take a bounce down in price those resources are going to be there and get the share price back up. The bottom line is that we have published resources that 'should' support a much higher base price
Equally we should have known that the First Nations were going to leverage the ROF situation to their Long Term benefit. Better now while we are in early exploration then when we have a billion invested in capital and are getting ready to go into production. If we manage this well and get the FN partnership established it will be much easier going forward. I'm all for them having a no cost equity stake in the deposits (e.g a JV) in the area that only becomes vested when the companies go into production. That way they benefit if the deposit becomes a mine but share the risks of it not becoming one. Just my thoughts.
As to the province I've never seen a situation like this were the cards have been laid out face up for all to read. The government of Ontario is desperate to lock onto something good and has latched on to the ROF. For sure it is going to step up to the plate to finance infrastructure and more importantly actively support fast tracking the deposits in the ROF. To me this means that the province and probably the feds are going to make the deal with the FNs and cough up some cash for infrastructure. I work with a lot of Chinese companies and government commitment in a project is a huge incentive to invest.
I expect to see a comprehensive settlement with the FNs in the next couple of weeks and a provincial budget that commits dollars to northern infrastructure for roads, power and rail.
My guesses only and not to be taken for anything more then that.
Best of luck to everyone.
