Message: Winter roads
Excellent information, Chauncey, thank you! It goes without saying, that one must carefully investigate local conditions before venturing onto the winter roads. I had contemplated trying to get into Fort Severn via the Manitoba winter roads, but was advised this is not feasible by snowmobile, at least at my skill level Land travel outside of freezeup appears in practical terms to be limited to canoes. For anyone interested, Webequie offers a familiarization package (pricey) which is accessed by air. I rather think at this stage NOT field staff would regard visitors as a nuisance, if not outright barred. Best to all NOT longs, O.F.
