Webequie population is 800 ( add Marten Falls population of 300? )
Unemployment rate stated by natives as 90% ( government's statement much less)
Suicide rate 10 times average
Average income = $10,149
Average price of basics for these natives is twice of elsewhere in Canada
400 Km to nearest center

"We want to work with you guys"

"Real jobs are being created from progressive companies like Tribute Minerals willing to
sit down and respect the first nation title to their lands and resources.
This is historic."

My questions:
Are the companies on 'their' land, or is it that the natives have only traditional
usage rights to those lands? In other words, what type of claim do they have?
Noront bought the exploration and production rights from the government so it must be an issue between the government and the natives. The companies are being blamed for
problems they did not create, my impression.

Just how far do those claimed lands extend?

Can 800, or even 1100, natives control or claim to such a large area?

I invite contributions from anyone who could provide even partial answers towards my

questions. PM me? TIA.
