Wes stated that Noront has done nothing to warrant the environment damage issue and had met yesterday with the Grand Chief. Any of those issues may have been from older sites and they have not seen it and would clean it up if they did. There are environmental rules and regulations in place now and have been complied with. He feels the companies need to sit down with First Nations, along with the provincial govt to resolve their concerns. Everyone needs to work together to have discussions, rather than confrontation, to benefit all of the parties involved.
