good morning my friend: An excellent post. One question, if it isn't from a cyanide operation why must you keep the birds away? As for animals, has anyone ever been stuck in that finely ground semi liquid solution? It is like quicksand. It is almost impossible to break free by your self.

We once had a semi wild cow get stuck in ours. She finally ended up lying on her side exhausted. We organized a group to rescue her. They had to use wide planks to get near her, roped her horns, then by a durn hard group effort we finally managed to get her to where she could stand on her own, where upon she promptly charged us with bad intentions.

If left to herself she would soon have died.

The open Cyanide tanks definitely had to be covered. Even bats, if they could enter searching for water, after scooping a drink in flight, invariably never left the tank area, and in general we were only using 3 %.

In my experimental 6% one, a cow broke the fence down and entered. She took one long drink and collapsed on the spot. she made excellent steaks, a side benefit.

Tau can explain far more eficiently than I can, on the toxicity of Nickle and Chormite tailings.
